Who we are
MV Explorer is a 28.9-metre motor yacht cruising the Maldivian atolls — eight en-suite cabins, a saloon and bar, a sun deck, a dedicated dive dhoni and a tender. She is a working liveaboard, not a superyacht — and that is the point. You get a real boat, a crew who know these reefs, and a route built around where the diving, the surf and the weather are best that week.
We run one vessel and we run her well. Whether you join a cabin on a scheduled week or take the whole boat for your group, it is the same Maldives — unhurried, uncrowded, and yours to explore.

Wooden hull with a polished-fibreglass upper waterline; air conditioning throughout with an individual controller in every cabin; desalination plant, sound-proofed generators, full marine navigation and safety equipment — and an onboard water slide. At sixteen guests every guest is in a proper bed; twenty works for a dive club or surf crew who expect the upper berths.

Three ways to take the same boat out — the week is programmed around your group.
Dive
Seventeen dives across the week — two to three a day plus a night dive — with a dive master and the dhoni following the boat, so you dive the site, not the mooring.

Snorkel the reefs, fish at night, eat dinner on a beach. The charter for groups who want the Maldives at the pace of the boat — waking up somewhere new.

Mr. Yoosuf Riffath
In Maldivian tourism since 1982, Mr. Riffath founded Capital Travel & Tours in 1990 and built it into one of the country's most trusted travel companies. He chairs the Capital Group and has helped found several of the industry's institutions — among them the Association of Travel Agents and the National Boating Association of the Maldives — and was honoured with the President's Tourism Gold Award in 2022. Maldives Explorer is part of the group he built.
